I’ve been designing a beautiful, lay flat, wedding album this week.
This was Ben and Ashley’s gorgeous candlelight wedding at St. Edwards State Park. Here are some of my favorite spreads.

Last weekend, my family and I went to the Nisqually National Wildlife Preserve. What a gorgeous place, even on a dreary and wet winter day. It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I met this lovely Mom-to-be at Saltwater State Park on Thursday. She is pregnant with twin boys – and will likely deliver them in the next few days. She was a great sport – up for anything on a brisk January day at the beach. Stay tuned for newborn photos in a few weeks.

Thank you to everyone who voted and made this years contest so much fun!

It’s time again for my annual Photo of the Year Contest!
Each January, I pick my favorite client photos from the previous year and ask my readers to pick a winner. This year, I limited the contest to family sessions only (no weddings, engagement or HS Senior photos).
The prizes are as follows:
First place – a complimentary photo session and a $100 photo credit.
Second place – a complimentary photo session.
Third place – a $50 Kris Allen Photography gift card.
Scroll down after the last photo and you will find the voting box. Please note the Photo numbers are above each photo, not below.
***Update, Friday, 8:17 PM. 895 votes! Photo #4 is in the lead with 184 votes. Photo #9 is in second with 163 votes, and Photo #10 is in third with 144 votes. Chasing the top three are Photos #13, 6, 2, 3 and 12 in that order. The contest ends tonight at midnight.
Please be fair and only vote once even if the system will allow you to cast another vote!
There has been some confusion about the photo numbering. The number ABOVE the photos is its number. If you voted wrong, please let me know and I will adjust it.
And I’m loving all the comments so keep them coming! Please note that your comment won’t post immediately after you make it – I have to approve it first so it might not appear for a few hours.
