Today is the start of spring break for the kids. Today I bought sunscreen for our vacation next week. Today it is snowing and it is March 28. These pictures were taken a few hours ago and it is still snowing . . .
It was rainy here today, so we had to move our egg hunt indoors. The kids didn’t seem to mind. Here are a few candid photos of the little people in my family. And Happy Birthday to this little one who nine years ago kept me up all night.
Look what I saw from my back window yesterday. If you look closely you can see a faint double rainbow.

I spent all day Saturday in Port Orchard attending a fantastic lighting workshop given by Neil van Niekerk. It was a great workshop and introduced me to all kinds of artificial lighting. Natural light is still my favorite but many times it just isn’t practical. These photos were all lit by my 580EX being bounced...
I had a fun session yesterday with three brothers at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. It is so nice that the weather is warming up!
Another favorite spot downtown is this blue wall. For some reason this one reminds me of a Gap ad.
I’m loving train tracks right now. Downtown Tacoma offers so much in terms of variety for photos! This might be my favorite shot from the entire session:
I love these steps at UW Tacoma. They make an interesting background for portraits.
