I’m getting all kinds of goodies in the mail this week. This is a 16×20 collage I did from a session just before the holidays. I love the red background. The collage is mounted on 2mm styrene. Mounting large prints on styrene makes them easier to frame or you can prop them up on a mantle to display them without framing.

Love my new lens!
My newest lens is the Canon 85mm/1.8. I bought it primarily for it’s low light capabilities. A lot of wedding ceremonies are very dark and being able to shoot at 1.8 helps out in that situation. I have the 70-200/2.8L which I also love, but there is a huge difference between shooting at 2.8 and 1.8 when you are photographing a candlelight wedding using ambient light only. I’ve also discovered the 85/1.8 is great for photographing my kids activities! I hate to use flash while I’m watching a basketball game or observing dance class and this lens lets me do just that.
This photo was taken at 1/400, f2.2, ISO 1600, ambient light only.

These next two were taken at 1/320, f2.0, ISO 3200, no flash.
